Clear Thinking Teams

Tailored
Clear Thinking
High Performance Team Workshops
1-2 days Workshop, in your offices/local venue, aimed at either:

  • groups of individuals, perhaps from different disciplines, working together on a specific plan or project
  • fixed teams in one department working on specific activities/projects
Working on live issues from devising strategy to solving problems

Clear ThinkingThese workshops can follow the basic content as described in our Clear Thinking Training course but more tailored to the particular goals, plans, and issues of the client’s team.

Diagnostic interviews are advisable prior to the workshop in cases of known team under-performance. Team members’ Preferred Thinking Styles, Team-role Preferences, and Myers Briggs (MBTI) Types can be assessed prior to the workshop to check for potential causes of teamwork issues.

The event can be part training (improving Clear Thinking skills), part workshop (applying Clear Thinking to specific goals, problems, etc) and part teamwork development (assessing and improving Teamworking).

The ideal
- High Performance -
team

... is a Balanced Team – ie having a good balance of (and awareness of):

  • Preferred Thinking Styles covering all Four Quartiles of Whole Brain Thinking  (Visionary, Reasoning, Task, and People Thinking) and a good balance of Left-Brainers, Right Brainers, Thinkers, and Doers
  • Preferred team roles (eg Drivers, Teamworkers, Creatives, etc)
  • MBTI Types (personality type profiles). Note: some Type pairs can cause conflict or disagreement – you need to be aware of them, and cope with it

... is a team with clear, shared goals, and whose members have clearly defined (but flexible) functional roles, work well together, and understand how teams work

... has a Clear Thinking Leader

Real, live business applications A key part of these workshops will be working through at least one Business Thinking Process relevant to the team’s goals and challenges, for example:

  • devise a strategy, set goals/objectives, plan their implementation
  • plan a project
  • create new ideas and plan innovations
  • devise and plan a Change programme, eg culture change
  • go through a live Change experience – to embed change in your team
  • solve specific problems
  • make a complex decision
  • devise and/or test new communications/campaigns
  • solve problems with existing communications
  • resolve teamwork problems and improve team performance
How your Teams
can achieve
High Performance

To maximise results, and minimise errors, your team needs to deliberately engage the most appropriate ‘ways of thinking’ (Thinking Styles) at each stage of a Business Thinking Process. This is the very essence of Clear Thinking.

Our Consultants will guide your team through your chosen Business Thinking Process(es) and prompt the team to switch into – and engage - the right Thinking Styles at each stage. We will also bring those other critical aspects of Clear Thinking – OBJECTIVITY and willingness to CHALLENGE the team’s thinking.
